Cosmetics — Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) GuidelinesAbout ISO 22716:2007
ISO 22716:2007 is the international Cosmetic GMP standard. It provides guidelines for the production, control, storage and shipment of cosmetic products. The EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 explicitly requires compliance with ISO 22716 (or equivalent harmonised standard). Equivalent expectations exist in the US (FDA proposed rule), China, ASEAN, and other major markets. The standard is concise (~30 pages) and structured into 17 main clauses covering people, premises, equipment, materials, production, testing and corrective actions.
