ISO 14068-1:2023 — Gap Analysis
Climate Change Management — Transition to Net Zero — Part 1: Carbon NeutralityAbout ISO 14068-1:2023
ISO 14068-1:2023 is the first international standard on carbon neutrality, published December 2023. It replaces PAS 2060 (which is being withdrawn by BSI) and provides a globally consistent framework for organisations, products, services, events, projects and financial portfolios to credibly demonstrate carbon neutrality. The standard requires quantification of GHG emissions, hierarchical reduction (reduce internally, then beyond value chain), and compensation through high-quality carbon credits with strict eligibility criteria.
